Dr. Joanna Esquibel

Co-Owner, Æ Academic. Translator, theoretical and applied linguist, with focus on the history of language and the academia; in the past, an academic lecturer with 15 years of experience at the University of Warsaw (UW) and SWPS University, Poland. Her portfolio includes curriculum design and running Postgraduate Studies in LSP Translation and BA/ MA translation programs. At present, co-owner and editor-in-chief at Æ Academic Publishing in San Diego, CA. Her professional background outside the academia includes over two decades of hands-on experience as a translator and translators’ trainer for specialized areas of operation, academic content writer, editor and advisor. Fascinated with language intricacies of the past and present, she also researches culture-, social- and history-bound differences influencing the quality of intralingual and interlingual communication.
