
Dr. Anna Budna
Dr. Anna Budna graduated from the University of Warsaw, where she obtained her PhD in historical linguistics. Her research interests include morpho-syntactical riddles posed by intricacies of Old and Middle English, as well as modern and historical sociolinguistics in all its varieties.
A certified English-language examiner, a.o. at the International American School in Warsaw, she has taught the language to high-schoolers (most recently, at the Warsaw Rising High School No. 19 in Warsaw) and university students (institutes of English Studies at her alma mater and at the University of Social Sciences/ Clark University, Warsaw), including LSP for future medical doctors (Medical University of Warsaw) and the military police (Department of National Defense STANAG 6001 examinations).
She specializes in medical translation (for Clinical Department of Neurosurgery, Central Clinical Hospital of the Polish Ministry of Interior and Administration) and legal translation (for Military Law Enforcement Authorities, incl. Afghanistan Peace and Reintegration Program, NATO documentation, etc.).
In her spare time, she indulges in classical music and literature, admires Dutch Golden Age paintings and appreciates good movies. When not in the mountains skiing, she often explores the world with her young grandson, Franio.
