
Dr. Aleksandra R. Knapik
Dr. Aleksandra R. Knapik specializes in Contact Linguistics, Translation Studies, Rhetoric and Communication. Vice-Chair of the Committee for Philology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Wrocław Branch, she is also a founding member of the Polish Society for Human and Evolution Studies.
Aleksandra has organized numerous scholarly conferences and workshops devoted to various aspects of language, translation, and contemporary anthropological investigations. She is a co-editor of three periodicals: Academic Journal of Modern Philology (Wrocław, Poland), Styles of Communication (Bucharest, Romania), and Studia Anglica Resoviensia (Rzeszów, Poland); as well as two book series: Languages in Contact (Wrocław, Poland), and Beyond Language (San Diego, USA). She has also supervised forty M.A. works and three Ph.D. dissertations (as an auxiliary supervisor).
