7 Streszczenie Artykuł dotyczy rozważań na temat ekwiwalencji tłumaczeniowej i rozwoju tego pojęcia, które z czasem stało się iluzoryczne. Omawiane rodzaje ekwiwalencji miały zagwarantować naukowe podejście do tłumaczenia, a tymczasem spowodowały chaos. Propozycja przedstawiona w poniższym artykule opiera się na kognitywnym podejściu do rozumienia pewnych konceptów. Proponowana zmiana w rozumieniu ekwiwalencji polega na rozróżnieniu jej znaczeń na denotacyjne i referencyjne. W artykule przytoczono przykłady pewnych figur geometrycznych jako tłumaczeń intersemiotycznych, zaimplikowały one zmianę kierunku myślenia o koncepcie ekwiwalencji. While equivalence types, discussed here, were intended to guarantee a scholarly approach towards translation, the inverse occurred and they instead lead to chaos. In order to understand certain concepts, the present article suggests a solution based on cognitive linguistics. The proposed change to the way equivalence is analyzed consists in differentiating between denotational and referential meanings. To illustrate intersemiotic translation, the author provides examples of geometrical figures, which implicated that the way of thinking about equivalence may indeed change.
